Our Wedding Blog

We decided to have our wedding in Kennebunkport, Maine because it was the perfect location to bring together a few important things we wanted for our celebration:

  1. A location with meaning for the two of us.
  2. Near the ocean and beautiful scenery.
  3. In New England, the place where we spent our childhood.

Joel went to high school in Kennebunk and spent his summers on the beach skim-boarding, hanging out with friends and being preppy. Lucia and her family use to drive around in the Asian caravan to different New England towns on the weekends- they loved the Freeport outlets and the token ice cream stop at Ben & Jerry's.

During our first trip together to Kennebunkport, we walked into the town for coffee with Brady. On our way back, we decided to take a break on a bench near the ocean. Before we knew it, we noticed two weddings taking place to the right and left of where we were sitting. We ended up staying there until both ceremonies were finished.
